Friday, Sept. 22nd, the Latino Culture Center held a private reception for sponsors of Trini's exhibit and
events and the DMAHL broad. Reception sponsored by Frost Bank: Trini received a Proclamation for his career and humanitarian efforts from State Representative Rodney Anderson (presented by his representative, Cody Vaden).
At the Texas Musicians Museum in Irving, Texas, Trini was presented with a State Flag from State Representative Roberto Alonzo. The flag had flown over the State Capital.
Proclamation declaring Trini Lopez day was read on the behalf of Mayor Rick Stopfer by DMAHL member Tom Robles.

On Sept. 23rd, a “Conversation and Tribute to Trini Lopez” event conducted by author, musician and teacher, Dennis Gonzalez. A question and answer period was held after the conversation and everyone in attendance enjoyed the stories.
The League for United Latin American Countries ( LULAC) presented the “ National LULAC Citation for Excellence in the Arts Award.
The DMAHL “ Distinguished Mexican Historical Legend Award” presented by the officers of the Dallas Mexican Historical League, (DMAHL).
Trini was honored and humbled by all the awards.
